Seorang Ibu adalah sosok yang memiliki hubungan terdekat dengan anaknya.Sosok Ibu acapkali memiliki hubungan batin dengan sang anak. Penelitian ini ingin mengungkapkan hubungan batin antara ibu dan anak dalam bentuk visualisasi karya seni lukis dua dimensi melalui teknik seni sulam Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan landasan teori empirisme dan kognitif. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memberikan gambaran tentang hubungan batin ibu dan anak melalui eksplorasi bahan dan teknik lukis seni sulam menggunakan benang , cat akrilik dan kertas yang seluruhnya berwarna putih. Hasil eksplorasi tersebut berupa tujuh karya lukis seni sulam dengan tema ibu dan anak.

A mother is a person who has the closest relationship with her child. The mother often has an inner connection with the child. This study would like to reveal the inner relationship between mother and child in the form of visualization of two-dimensional painting through embroidery art techniques. This study uses descriptive qualitative method on the basis of empiricism and cognitive theory. The purpose of the study is to provide an overview of the inner relationship of mother and child through the exploration of materials and embroidery art techniques using threads, acrylic paint and paper which are all white. As a result of the exploration are seven embroidery art paintings with the theme of mother and child.
