Abstraksi

menemukan nilainya melalui pendekatan ilmu Desain Interior. Teori yang
digunakan adalah Teori Representasi Stuart Hall, yaitu mengidentifikasi Motif
Batik Kawung melalui gagasan, konsep, ide dan perasaannya. Refleksi desain
Interior ruang publik dikonstruksi melalui konsep Batik Kawung.

Aesthetic Elements of Kawung Batik Motif become a traditional value that is
inserted into the interior design of modern public spaces. In planning an Interior
Design, the design concept is the main key for designers in designing a space.
Some public spaces such as malls, hotels and restaurants in their designs have a
strong concept. "Get the Five Pancer Qibla" which means four qiblahs in nature
in the form of land / earth, water, fire, and wind are philosophical concepts of the
Kawung Batik Motif. The concept of Javanese Philosophy which was adapted to
several interior design public spaces. The focus of this study is the Kawung Batik
Motif which is an aesthetic element in the interior of public spaces. The Kawung
Batik motif is present at the Interior of the Grand Tebu Bandung Hotel, Mall
Paskal 23 Bandung, and Restaurant Madame Sari (Kartika Sari) Bandung. The
design work was constructed through the aesthetic elements of Kawung Batik
Motif and a combined slice of four circles to be able to find its value through the
Interior Design science approach. The theory used is the Representation Theory
of Stuart Hall, which identifies the Kawung Batik Motif through his ideas,
concepts, ideas and feelings. Reflections on the design of the Kawung Batik
become the vocal points of the overall design of the Mall building, intentionally
repetition is done on the cutting motif module, and the Kawung and bamboo
construction as Sundanese endemic plants through Interior Design. The aesthetic
research results of the Interior Design of public spaces by producing traditional
materials through modern designs and structures of the Interior Design of public
spaces are constructed through the concept of Kawung Batik.
